Ensuring social security for participants and beneficiaries of Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance policies during Tet

Accordingly, the General Director of Vietnam Social Security requested the Heads of affiliated units, Directors of Social Security of provinces and centrally-run cities (Provincial Social Security), Directors of Social Security of districts, towns (District Social Security) to focus, be proactive and closely follow the direction of the Industry Leaders and of local Party committees and authorities to deploy assigned tasks during the 2023 New Year and the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao according to the motto "Taking people and businesses as the main subject and center of service".

The entire unit needs to focus on mobilizing all available resources, enhancing electronic transactions to speed up the progress of resolving social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies and regimes; promoting the advantages of the information technology data system and identification codes of each participant, continuing to reform administrative procedures, minimizing the stages, procedures and time to pay correctly - fully - promptly; ensuring the rights of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, etc.

Specifically: forSocial insuranceIn the provinces, the General Director of Vietnam Social Security requested to focus on implementing a number of tasks, absolutely not to affect the lives and production and business activities of the people and enterprises, such as: Assigning staff to receive and process online and direct records to return results on time and on schedule according to regulations; resolving and paying fully and promptly social insurance regimes such as sickness, maternity, unemployment insurance regimes, etc.; promptly issuing, exchanging and extending health insurance cards; making full and timely advances and settlements of health insurance examination and treatment costs according to regulations; closely coordinating with medical examination and treatment facilities to ensure adequate medicines, chemicals and medical supplies for health insurance examination and treatment in the list paid by the health insurance fund; arranging a permanent appraisal department to promptly resolve difficulties and problems in health insurance examination and treatment reported by people via the hotline or in person.

To facilitate pensioners and monthly social insurance beneficiaries to have a happy and joyful Tet holiday, the Social Insurance of the provinces coordinate with the Post Office to organize the payment of pensions and monthly social insurance benefits for January and February 2023 to beneficiaries at the same payment period as January 2023; organize home payments for beneficiaries in cash for the elderly, lonely, sick, and ill who are unable to come in person to receive them; strengthen advocacy and encourage beneficiaries to receive social insurance and unemployment benefits through personal accounts to receive benefits quickly and most conveniently.

In addition, the General Director also directed and assigned specific tasks to units under the Vietnam Social Security during the Tet holiday, ensuring quality, progress, efficiency, and not affecting the settlement of administrative procedures on the rights and interests of people and businesses, such as: ensuring adequate funding to organize payments and timely service for beneficiaries of policies on Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance; ensuring regular and continuous operation of the information technology infrastructure system, professional software, the Industry's Public Service Portal, the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance; promptly supporting, answering, and advising people through hotlines and support and consulting applications of the Industry; continuing to effectively implement the program of giving Social Insurance books and Health Insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances and giving gifts to patients in difficult circumstances according to the Industry's Plan; Implement diverse, flexible and creative communication activities and forms, especially using information technology, social networks, etc. to promote communication and spread of Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance policies during Tet holiday to all classes of people.
