Stabbed best friend to death because of jealousy

Witnessing his wife and best friend being intimate on a hammock, in a fit of jealousy, Chau rushed in and stabbed his best friend fatally.

The incident occurred in the early morning of November 9, in Ngu Hiep commune (Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province).

The investigation agency has conducted an autopsy and is temporarily detaining Nguyen Ngoc Chau (33 years old, residing locally) to investigate the act of "murder".

At the investigation agency, Chau admitted that he had recently suspected his wife, Ly (31 years old), of having an illicit relationship with Nguyen Van Thang (31 years old, Chau's close friend). Chau and his wife had argued many times about this. Ly also challenged her husband to "catch them in the act".

On the night of November 8, Ms. Ly was at her mother's house in Ngu Hiep commune. Suspecting that his wife was having an affair, Chau took a knife with him and caught her in the act. At around 1:00 a.m. on November 9, Chau discovered his wife and Thang lying in a hammock on the porch and making affectionate gestures. Unable to control his jealousy, Chau rushed forward and attacked his best friend with a knife. Ms. Ly's family heard the noise, turned on the lights, went outside to stop them, and called for people to take Thang to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The victim died due to severe injuries. After committing the crime, Chau turned himself in to the police and admitted to the murder.

It is known that Chau and her husband have been married for many years and have two children together. Thang also has a family and lives near Ly’s mother’s house./.
