Flooded wedding day, groom's family had to clear the mud to get the bride
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22, a wedding in Phong Thinh commune, Thanh Chuong district was held while floodwaters had not yet receded from the village road. The groom's family had to mobilize manpower to clear the mud and road for the bride's procession.

It was the wedding of the couple Hoang Dinh Duc (30 years old) in Thanh Nam hamlet, Phong Thinh commune and Vo Thi Hoa (28 years old) in Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province. Because the date had been set in advance, after storm No. 3, although the floodwaters had not yet receded, the two families still decided to hold the wedding as planned.

These days, the road to Thanh Nam hamlet passes through fields that are still flooded. The road in front of the groom's house is several hundred meters long and full of mud, in some places half a wheel deep. In order for the wedding procession to take place smoothly, on the morning of July 22, the groom's family mobilized a large number of workers to build the road. Everyone used scrapers and shovels to actively scrape away all the sticky mud on the muddy road in front of the house.

However, when the wedding procession traveled nearly 100km to the groom's house, the wedding car was still stuck on this road. The young couple had to get out of the car and walk hand in hand through the muddy road full of tire marks.
The bride wore high heels, and was afraid of falling as she walked. Many people fell on their knees, their clothes covered in mud. Everyone present felt both pity and amusement at the procession.

The images and clips of this wedding were shared on social networks and quickly received the attention of the community. Besides sympathy for the wedding of a young couple in a poor rural area during the flood season, people sent their congratulations and the message "the more difficult it is, the more passionate it is".

Talking about his "special" wedding, groom Hoang Dinh Duc shared: "The happy day of the couple took place in unfavorable weather conditions, but in return, we received enthusiastic support and encouragement from both sides. The wedding was held in the middle of the flood season, quite muddy and difficult, but it was also a memorable memory for us"./.
