Motorbike crash, car flies into field causing death

(Baonghean.vn) - A car was speeding on National Highway 46B, when it reached Nam Giang Commune (Nam Dan), it suddenly crossed to the left lane, crashed head-on into a motorbike going in the opposite direction, killing one person on the spot.

The accident left 1 person dead, 1 person injured, and 2 vehicles severely damaged.

At around 10:45 a.m. on March 30, on National Highway 46B, through Nam Giang Commune (Nam Dan), a serious accident occurred between a car and a motorbike. As a result, one person died on the spot and another was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Witnesses said that at the time, a black car with license plate 37A 13509 driven by Mr. Nguyen Chi Khanh (1959, residing in Thanh Chuong district) was traveling on National Highway 46B from Vinh city to Nam Dan. When reaching Nam Giang commune, the car suddenly crossed to the left side of the marked lane and crashed head-on into a motorbike with license plate 37H8 5572 driven by a man carrying a woman behind him going in the opposite direction.

The strong crash threw both people and the motorbike into the rice field, the car also flipped upside down with all four wheels in the air below the field.

The car lay belly down in the rice field.

The motorbike was a total wreck.

The accident caused the motorcyclist, Nguyen Ngoc Huong (born in 1965, residing in Do Luong district), to die on the spot. The person sitting behind, Nguyen Thi Hue (born in 1969, residing in Do Luong district), was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities said the driver, Mr. Nguyen Chi Khanh, only suffered minor scratches and did not require hospitalization.

Immediately after the accident, Nam Dan District Police coordinated with relevant units to organize a scene investigation and investigate the cause of the accident.
