Dam Vinh Hung said the stage was designed with iron gears, like an old clockwork. When performing, he and many dancers had to bend down to walk over them. When he raised his head, he hit the gears and bled profusely. "I was in so much pain that I asked the dancers to use a towel to dry the blood so I could finish the performance. After that, I introduced Vu Ha's next performance and went backstage to check my wound," he said.

The singer went to the hospital for a check-up and chose to bandage the wound to stop the bleeding instead of stitching it. "I don't like stitching because I have to shave off a patch of hair, which looks unsightly. The next morning, I flew back to Saigon to take a photo shoot for Tet 2020. The wound wasn't too serious, just needed to be kept clean," he said.

The bar stage is decorated with gears that can easily cause accidents for performers.

In 2019, many artists had accidents on stage. Singer Vu Cat Tuong slipped and fell from a height of more than a meter while performing the live show "Inner Me" in December. Model Thuy Hanh fell on the catwalk while presenting the spring-summer 2020 collection of designer Chung Thanh Phong. Singer Minh Hang also had an accident when performing a somersault while walking the catwalk at the Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2019 in April.
