Recently, Dam Vinh Hung posted a series of designer bags for sale on his personal page with a total value of 6,300 USD (about 130 million VND), attracting public attention.
Many people suspect that the “King of Vietnamese Music” ran out of money and had to sell his bag after the scandal to pay off his mother’s debt. Moreover, at that time, the male singer declared that all he had left was a million-dollar villa in District 10, and that he had nothing left.
However, Dam Vinh Hung explained that he sold the bag because "there was no more room for them. Also because I felt sorry for them and kept holding them until now. Okay... let's break up."

Previously, in April 2017, Dam Vinh Hung surprised the public by sharing his intention to sell designer handbags on his personal page.
He wrote: "I intend to sell some of my handbags and purses for many reasons: 1. Too many - no place to put them; 2. I also want to please some fans who want to keep a memory of Dam Vinh Hung (because most of his handbags, wallets, and purses follow him everywhere in the world); 3. I want to set aside a portion to help the poor and sick.
I wrote the status but haven't posted it yet because I want to get opinions from my "advisory" team. There are quite a few ideas... Everyone has reasons and is convincing.
According to Dam Vinh Hung, his intention before posting on social networks received many comments.
In response to mixed comments, the singer of "Sea of Love" defended himself by saying: "I don't drink, gamble, womanize, do drugs, or have any useless activities. Besides the joy of shopping, it's also a way to reward myself after hours of working hard and dying on stage."
Currently, Dam Vinh Hung owns a handbag collection of 180 designer handbags that he bought in many different countries after tours and travels.
