Dam Vinh Hung accuses producer of taking advantage of artist to promote game show

After the response from the producer of the game show I Can, Dam Vinh Hung spoke up to respond. He affirmed that the organizers intentionally took advantage of the artists' private lives to promote the program.

Game show I Can Do That - I can have not even aired yet but it has been involved in controversy about the judges. Initially, the hot seat list included Dam Vinh Hung but he later withdrew from the competition because he had not received a contract, and at the same time denied the rumor of "oppressing" Phuong Thanh.

However, on the evening of April 30, the producer sent a press release revealing that Mr. Dam withdrew from the program because he did not agree to sit in the hot seat throughout the competition with Phuong Thanh. At the same time, this unit also said that the male singer's side requested that whoever sat in the judge's position must have his approval.

Initially, when receiving this information, Dam Vinh Hung shared that he did not want to say anything more to avoid promoting the program. But recently, on his personal Facebook, the "gentleman of Vietnamese music" had a strong response.

The Voice coach said he has been singing for 20 years, including 15 years of facing scandals, facing a series of scandals from his personal life to his career, from being harmed or accidentally "shot", so he has experience in dealing with them. He said that being dragged into a game show to "heat up" the program before it was broadcast was like "a dirty trick".

“What era is this that still uses tricks, borrowing artists’ private lives to stir up public opinion instead of investing in the quality of the program. It seems that this media company underestimates the audience! The audience nowadays is very smart, it’s not possible to fool people by making up stories or posting self-written messages,” the singer of Oh Kia Doi Bat Vui wrote.

Dam Vinh Hung emphasized that the organizers “did not play fair with the artists”. He criticized the producer for rushing to announce and report the news before signing the contract.

“Moreover, a contract must have a confidentiality principle, otherwise it will be released when PR is needed. I wonder if it will be possible to do this with any artist in the future,” Mr. Dam expressed anger.
