(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 3, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization and the Ministry of National Defense held an online conference to summarize the program of coordination in mass mobilization work for the period 2011 - 2016 and sign a coordination program.Mass mobilization work period 2016 - 2021.

Over the past years, the program of coordinating mass mobilization work between the Central Mass Mobilization Commission and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army has been implemented synchronously, comprehensively, closely following the functions and tasks of each organization, in accordance with the reality of agencies, units and localities, contributing to the good implementation of the Party's mass mobilization work in the new period; building and consolidating people's trust in the Party and the socialist regime.
Through the coordination program, mass mobilization work has strengthened the great solidarity and cohesion between military units and Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations at all levels; participated in building strong local bases, developing the economy, culture, and society, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, maintaining political and social stability, consolidating national defense and security, and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the country's borders and islands.
In addition to the achieved results, the conference also frankly acknowledged the limitations, such as: Some agencies, units and localities are slow to innovate the content and form of coordination activities according to practical requirements, some places are still formal, have not identified the focus and key points to focus on directing implementation; the coordination mechanism and assignment of implementation responsibilities are not clear; the exchange of situation, inspection, urging and supplementing of activity content in some units is not regular...

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 emphasized: As a unit managing a large area, in addition to building an increasingly disciplined and modern force, ready to meet all mission requirements, Military Region 4 also proactively coordinates with localities and social organizations to promote propaganda work, organize relief working groups, help people change careers, mobilize students to go to school; through visiting and giving gifts to exchange friendship; send cadres to units to guide propaganda; organize outdoor activities to help people affected by natural disasters, storms and floods... Thanks to that, in recent years, the national security and defense situation has been basically stable.

Speaking at the Conference, General Ngo Xuan Lich - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense thanked the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, ministries, branches, and local Party committees and authorities for their close coordination and synchronous implementation with the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense to do a good job of mass mobilization work in the past time.
In order to better carry out mass mobilization work in the coming time, comrade Ngo Xuan Lich requested localities and agencies and units in the entire army to focus on performing the following tasks: Focus on educating and raising awareness and responsibility of cadres and soldiers in the entire army, continue to thoroughly grasp Resolution 12 of the Party; Resolution No. 25-NQ/TW, the 7th Conference of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on "Strengthening and innovating the Party's leadership in mass mobilization work in the new situation"; Linking the effectiveness of mass mobilization work with the leadership results of Party committees, the management and operation responsibilities of commanders; Continue to promote participation in building local political bases, especially in remote areas, ethnic minority and religious areas, border areas, seas and islands...
The Central Committee for Mass Mobilization and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army signed a coordination program for the 2016 - 2021 period with the main contents: Coordinate well in propaganda work, mobilize people of all walks of life to implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the Constitution and laws of the State; promote patriotic emulation movements, focus on building "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models in all fields; actively innovate the content and form of mass mobilization work of each locality, agency and unit; strengthen exchanges and twinning with military units with the government, political and social organizations in the area; well implement gratitude policies, social security policies, military rear policies... contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people of all walks of life.
On this occasion, 6 units at the Hanoi bridge point received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization. At other locations, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization authorized provincial leaders and Military Region leaders to present the awards./.
