During the past term, under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the consensus of the people, My Son commune's economy has made remarkable progress. The total production value by 2019 reached over 223 billion VND, an increase of over 72 billion VND compared to the beginning of the term, estimated at 243 billion VND in 2020. The economic structure has basically shifted in the right direction. In 2015, agriculture - forestry and fishery reached 35.7%, industry - basic construction 27%, trade and services 37.3%. By 2020, it is estimated to reach 30% in agriculture; 34% in forestry, industry - basic construction; trade and services 36%. The average income per capita in 2020 reached 42 million VND, exceeding the set plan by 12 million VND/person/year.

The past term's socio-cultural development has made great strides: the kindergarten has achieved national standards level 1, the primary school has achieved national standards level 2; 3 students were excellent at the provincial level, 493 at the district level, 178 students passed the university, college and vocational school entrance exams. The community learning center has maintained its activities well, in 5 years it has organized 47 science and technology transfer classes on livestock production with nearly 3,900 participants, and organized 6 vocational training classes to create jobs. The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas and building agencies, units and clans that meet cultural standards has spread. The rate of cultural families has now reached 81.4%, an increase of 21.1% compared to the beginning of the term, exceeding 6.4% compared to the resolution. The whole commune has 6/7 hamlets achieving the title of cultural at the district level.

The field of National Defense - Security has always been firmly consolidated, completing the defensive combat exercise plan with excellent results. In 5 years, 39/53 cases have been investigated and clarified, 14 cases have been transferred to the District Police, and 17 subjects have been prosecuted. The work of building the Party and the political system, political and ideological work, and the organization of cadres and party members has had many clear changes.

The congress focused on discussions, had many in-depth and practical presentations on practical activities at the grassroots level, and proposed many solutions to promote the economy, culture - society, and Party building in the commune in the coming term.

Entering the new term 2020 - 2025, My Son Commune Party Committee set a target of total production value reaching over 400 billion VND; Average income per capita of 65.5 million VND/person/year. Striving to achieve the status of an advanced New Rural Commune by 2022. Mobilizing social investment capital of 92 billion VND. The rate of cultural families is 85 - 90%, maintaining the commune meeting the National standards on health according to the new criteria. The annual poverty rate is below 1%. Admitting 3 to 5 new Party members every year.
