Bangkok hospital bombing, dozens injured

At least 24 people were injured in a bomb explosion at a hospital in the Thai capital Bangkok on May 22, exactly three years after the military coup.

No individual or organization has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion at Phramongkutklao Hospital, where most of the patients are retired military officials.

"It was a bomb. We found parts that could be used to make a bomb," Kamthorn Aucharoen, commander of the police explosives squad, told Reuters news agency.

"Right now, the police are checking nearby cameras."

Government spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd said 24 people were injured.
