Strengthening propaganda, enhancing the image of 'Uncle Ho's soldiers' in Uncle Ho's homeland

Afternoon of December 17,Provincial Military Commandorganized a meeting with press agencies on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 31st anniversary of National Defense Day.

Attending the meeting were Major General Phan Van Sy - Deputy Head of the Political Department of Military Region 4; Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command.

On the side of the press agencies, there were comrades: Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station.

According to the leaders of the Provincial Military Command, in 2020, the unit always paid attention to leading and directing the organization to develop plans, closely and seriously implementing the work of coordinating propaganda of military and defense tasks on mass media. Closely following the propaganda direction of the Political Department of Military Region 4, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and the Department of Information and Communications to coordinate to promote propaganda about the activities of the provincial armed forces.

The Provincial Military Command has also proactively coordinated with press agencies to propagate military and defense tasks and military activities to ensure speed and accuracy. Especially when major events, training activities, natural disaster prevention, epidemic prevention, etc. take place, press agencies have sent officers and reporters to coordinate propaganda effectively and promptly. Thereby, contributing to orienting the ideology, awareness and action of officers and soldiers, while at the same time enhancing the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in Uncle Ho's homeland.

The leaders of the Provincial Military Command also highly appreciated that when forest fires and heavy rains caused flooding in many places, reporters from press agencies did not hesitate to face hardships and dangers, working side by side with officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces to actively propagate, encourage and help the people. The press has also done a good job of propagating policies, military rear areas, and the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

Regarding the direction in the coming time, the leaders of the Provincial Military Command hope that the press agencies will continue to coordinate well in propagating the thorough understanding and implementation of the tasks, comprehensively and synchronously, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on military and national defense tasks. Focus on coordinating propaganda to improve the overall quality of the provincial armed forces, the combat readiness regime, proactively grasp and forecast the situation, advise on timely handling of situations, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety.

Coordinate propaganda for force building and military recruitment in 2021. Fight against wrong and hostile viewpoints, contributing to improving the quality of the fight against peaceful evolution plots in the ideological and cultural fields. In particular, further highlight the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in performing tasks such as training; defense zone drills; helping people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; preventing Covid-19; overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; search and rescue; collecting martyrs' remains...
