Bernama news agency quoted Dang Wangi Police Chief Zainol Samah as saying that police had evacuated the Bursa Malaysia headquarters, nearby buildings, as well as the temple management board on Pudu Lama Road. After more than three hours of searching with the help of sniffer dogs, Kuala Lumpur police found no bombs at the two locations. The area was later reopened.
However, police officials advise people to remain vigilant and report to security immediately if they detect anything unusual.
Earlier, at around 12 noon on September 30, an unknown man called Bursa Malaysia's security department, warning that bombs would explode at the two locations after the evening prayer. Bursa Malaysia's security staff reported to their leaders, who then quickly notified the police. Malaysian police are actively searching for the person who made the call, based on information provided by Bursa Malaysia's security department.
