“Currently, many serious accidents have occurred at intersections between roads - railways, roads, especially in Nghi Loc district. What actions has the industry taken and what is its direction for the future?”. “In recent times, oversized and overloaded vehicles have increased in number, damaging roads and causing traffic accidents. What solutions do you have to overcome this situation as the leader of the industry?”, delegate Dinh Thi An Phong (Nghi Loc district) asked the Director of the Department of Transport of Nghe An.
Responding to the question of delegate Phong, Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky said that currently, the whole province still has 161 illegal intersections between railways and roads. The transport sector is still trying to reduce this number. The transport sector has also installed many warning signs and propaganda and will continue to raise awareness among the people in the coming time, which is considered the most important thing at this time.

“Regarding the issue of overloaded and oversized vehicles, we now have a project to control weight and size. In which, technology will be used to control speed and overload on the road,” said Mr. Ky.
Meanwhile, delegate Hoang Thanh Binh was concerned about the recent high-rise apartment buildings being built in Vinh City, which will affect the traffic system. "If there are many apartment buildings, if not controlled, they will overload the traffic system, parking lots, pollute the environment, encroach on roads, sidewalks, and business corridors, which will destroy the urban beauty and cause traffic accidents. What is the responsibility of the Department of Transport for this?", Mr. Binh asked, and said that currently, the BOT toll stations that are causing public outrage, including BOT Ben Thuy, does the Department of Transport have any measures to ensure the rights and interests of the people?

“Regarding the issue of high-rise apartments, there are currently no major problems in Vinh City. Meanwhile, the responsibility for environmental impacts and encroachment on the roadway belongs to the urban force,” said Mr. Ky.
Regarding the Ben Thuy BOT toll station, Mr. Ky said that delegates and voters should sympathize with the investor. “If the station has to be moved to another location, the toll collection time will also increase, and in the end, people will also be affected,” the director of the Department of Transport stated.
During the questioning at the hall, delegates also expressed their opinions on the complicated situation of traffic accidents as well as expressed concerns about the ethics and traffic culture of drivers.

Delegate Ngo Thi Thu Hien (Vinh City) said that the Department of Transport had previously advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan 136 to implement Resolution 56 of the Provincial People's Council on the clearance of road, railway and sidewalk safety corridors. Vinh City then actively implemented it, but the re-encroachment situation still occurred in many places. What solutions does the Department have to address this situation?
Responding to this issue, Mr. Ky said that the situation of traffic safety corridor violations is a hot issue that has been of interest to all levels, sectors, and the press in recent times. To address this situation, the Department has advised on adjusting the planning of routes; established interdisciplinary teams to monitor and urge implementation. Received opinions from localities, coordinated with interdisciplinary agencies to handle violations.
Meanwhile, after listening to the report of the Director of the Department of Transport, which stated that some localities were not proactive and had not implemented drastic measures to ensure traffic safety, delegate Thai Thi An Chung (Tan Ky) requested that Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky clearly state each locality and specific individual.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky asked the delegates for time to review this proposal and report in writing later.
