At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Student Association presented the results of the 3rd congress; some important contents in the draft documents of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Student Association.

The 3rd Provincial Student Association Congress agreed to continue promoting the “5 Good Students” movement and the program to build a strong Association. The Association focused on 3 major tasks, 8 key targets and developed 2 projects and 3 programs to implement among Nghe An students.

The "5 Good Students" movement at 9 colleges and universities in the province will be widely implemented with the following targets: 15 students achieving the title of "5 Good Students" at the Central level; 200 students achieving "5 Good Students" at the provincial level; 600 students achieving "5 Good Students" at the school level.

To make the 5 Good Students movement an activity that attracts the attention and participation of a large number of students, the conference also had a discussion on the topic "Nghe An students with the 5 Good Students movement".

Student Nguyen Thi Yen (Nghe An Pedagogical College) raised questions about solutions to realize the title of "5 Good Students" to become high-quality workers and human resources; at the same time, how to make students who are awarded noble titles such as "January Star" and "5 Good Students"... be given priority, paid more attention to, and known more by employers.

Student Nguyen Van Luan (Vinh Medical University) expressed his concerns about the criteria of "5 Good Students". Specifically, with the criterion of "students actively integrating internationally", it is necessary to clearly state the level of integration. In addition, the Association at all levels needs to organize many forums for students right from the first year, in order to "ignite" propaganda to raise students' awareness of international integration; about opportunities and challenges in the integration process.

Answering directly to the questions of the students, Chairman of the Provincial Student Association Le Van Luong said that with “5 Good Students”, the Association determined that the movement is not only limited to the title, but more than that, when mentioning “5 Good Students”, it will be the enthusiastic competitive spirit of students in the fields of study, scientific research, culture and arts, sports, volunteering, and integration.

Comrade Le Van Luong added that in the period of 2018-2023, the Association will carry out activities to connect "5 Good Students" with agencies, organizations, and businesses to find scholarships and jobs for students who have achieved titles at all levels; at the same time, promote the example of "5 Good Students" to return to support other students to achieve the title.
