Vinh University launches contest to learn about War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 23, at Vinh University, the People's Army Newspaper in collaboration with the Vinh University Youth Union organized the launching ceremony of the Contest to learn about the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Many Vinh University students attended the contest launching ceremony.

The contest aims to commemorate the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), contributing to help all Vietnamese citizens, especially students, better understand the resounding victories of our army and people, the loss and sacrifice of war invalids and martyrs in the struggle for national independence and reunification.

Thereby, promoting the spirit of drinking water and remembering the source, eating fruit and remembering the person who planted the tree, encouraging individuals, organizations and the whole society to continue to care, share and help those who have contributed to the revolution.

The contest will last until the end of July 2017 through two forms: computer-based test and written test.

The Organizing Committee will award first, second, third and consolation prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements each month and at the competition's closing ceremony.

Vinh University Youth Union identified this as one of the activities to contribute to educating political ideology and civic awareness of students, thereby competing to study and practice well to contribute to building the homeland.
