Hanoi National University: A candidate achieved a perfect score of 80/80 in foreign language subject

The rate of candidates taking the entrance exam to VNU is over 97%; in the foreign language exam, one candidate achieved a perfect score of 80/80 points; and in Hanoi, one candidate achieved a score of 124/140 points.

Regarding the information about the 1st round of the 2016 Competency Assessment Test (ĐGNL) for admission to regular universities, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Permanent Deputy Director of VNU, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2016 Competency Assessment Test of VNU said: According to statistics, the rate of taking the foreign language test and ĐGNL is over 97%. Preliminary statistics of foreign language test scores: Of the 15,443 candidates taking the test, 75.3% scored 40 points or more; 1 candidate scored a perfect score of 80/80 points; 1 candidate scored 79/80 points.

Regarding the National High School Exam, preliminary test score statistics of Hanoi test sites: Of nearly 15,000 candidates, 65.5% of candidates scored 70/140 points or higher, among which there was 1 candidate who scored 124/140 points.

This exam has a total of 70,000 registered candidates. VNU has organized 21 exam sites, including 13 exam sites in Hanoi, 2 exam sites in Thanh Hoa, 2 exam sites in Nghe An, the remaining 4 exam sites in Da Nang, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh and Hai Phong; mobilized 1,073 exam organizers and invigilators, 42 servers, 6,224 computers; 180 exam rooms with 14 exam shifts.

This year, 8 more schools outside of VNU participated in organizing the exam and using the results of the National High School Exam for admission, including: Danang University of Architecture, Nam Dinh University of Technical Education, University of Natural Resources and Environment, Nguyen Trai University, Thu Do University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry, Dong A University, Da Nang and Hoa Binh University.

At the end of the first round of the 2016 National High School Exam, the exam software system was working well. In the 7 localities, no exam cluster had problems with electricity, servers, or transmission lines.

How are exam results announced?

Candidates can look up their exam scores on the VNU website and the VNU Testing Center website. The exam result certificates will be sent to candidates who took the exam before June 6 (first round) and before August 30 (second round).

Candidates taking the National High School Exam

The results of the Foreign Language Assessment Test are valid for 24 months from the date of the test. The results of the Foreign Language Assessment Test are only valid in the year of the test for admission to the University of Foreign Languages ​​- VNU or training programs of units within VNU that require the use of the results of the Foreign Language Assessment Test for admission and universities and colleges not affiliated with VNU that have announced the use of the results of the Foreign Language Assessment Test, which have been approved by VNU for admission (candidates must register for the Foreign Language Assessment Test in accordance with the admission requirements of each training program).

VNU does not organize re-examining of National High School Exams and Foreign Language High School Exams.

Registration time is from June 13 to 4:30 p.m. on June 24 (phase 1); from August 16 to 4:30 p.m. on August 25 (phase 2). Candidates can change their registration directly at the training unit or cancel their registration online (cancellation by post is not allowed).

The list of candidates who meet the admission threshold will be announced on the websites of the training units before June 30 (round 1) and before August 30 (round 2). Candidates who are recognized as admitted must have graduated from high school to be eligible for admission. Notice of candidates who meet the admission threshold to VNU will be sent directly to candidates before July 25 (round 1) and before August 30 (round 2). Candidates who are admitted will enroll from July 25 to August 30 for both admission rounds.
