Taking photos on the riverbank, a student slipped and drowned.
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 10, the authorities of Nghia Hoan commune (Tan Ky) said that a tragic drowning incident had just occurred in the area.
The victim was Lo Chi H. (born in 2011), residing in Tham hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune. Initial information shows that at around 2:00 p.m. on September 10, H. and two friends from Nghia Hoan Secondary School went to take photos in the Con River area in Nghia Hoan commune.
At 3:30 p.m. the same day, H. unfortunately slipped and fell into the river. Two friends tried to pull H. up but failed, so they ran back to call for help. Some people herding buffaloes near that area ran to jump into the river to look for H. but could not find him.
Upon receiving the information, local authorities were present to urgently mobilize forces and means to coordinate with the family to search for H.
At 4:30 p.m. the same day, H.'s body was found near where he slipped and fell into the river and was handed over to his family for burial according to local customs.
