Woman dies tragically while fishing for shrimp
(Baonghean.vn) - While using a fishing net to catch shrimp, Ms. Tran Thi Thien was unfortunately caught in the water fan system that provides oxygen for the shrimp, hitting her head and body, causing her death. She passed away, leaving behind two young children and her elderly, sick parents.
On June 13, Mr. Tran Van Trung - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Thanh commune (Quynh Luu district) confirmed that a tragic death had just occurred in the area.
The victim was Ms. Tran Thi Thien (born in 1969), residing in Hamlet 11. According to witnesses at the scene, early in the morning she and some people went to catch shrimp for hire for a pond owner in Quynh Yen commune (Quynh Luu district).

It is known that the victim is in a very difficult situation. For many years, she has been raising two young children (the older one is 8 years old, the younger one is 5 years old) and her parents are old, sick, and bedridden. Every day, she goes with her friends to catch shrimp for hire. The work is hard, sometimes having to wade through water in the middle of the night, but because of her circumstances and the burden on her family, she still has to work.

“Ms. Thien’s situation is very difficult. Now she has passed away, leaving behind two helpless children. We are very sympathetic and worried about the children’s situation. But for now, the local government will work with the family to bury the victim, and the issue of the orphans will be discussed later,” Mr. Tran Van Trung shared.
