'Going from alley to door' to review and speed up the progress of COVID-19 vaccination
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the direction of the Nghe An COVID-19 Prevention and Control Command Center in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic continuing to develop complicatedly in the province.
On the morning of December 18, the Department of HealthNghe Anheld an online conference to strengthen the prevention and control of COVID-19 and speed up the progress of COVID-19 vaccination. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of districts, cities, towns and medical units in the province at 65 connecting points.
Nearly 100 Covid-19 infections recorded every day
Information from Nghe An Department of Health: From the beginning of the epidemic to December 17, 2021, the whole province has recorded 6,248 COVID-19 patients in 21 localities. In the past 14 days (December 4-18), the epidemic in the province has had many complicated developments, the province has recorded 1,390 new infections (an average of nearly 100 cases/day, showing no signs of decreasing), with over 66% of infections having no symptoms. 284 cases (20%) were recorded in the community in 20/21 districts/cities/towns.

The epidemic in Nghe An province is posing a high risk and is spreading widely: Community cases are continuously appearing in many localities, because the pathogen already exists in the community, many cases are asymptomatic, have unknown sources of infection and are related to people returning from epidemic areas. The epidemic has penetrated industrial zones, schools, hospitals and some crowded places... The epidemic is at high risk of breaking out strongly during the upcoming holidays and Tet.
Meanwhile, in Nghe An, the number of people over 18 years old who received at least one injectionVaccineCOVID-19 prevention: 1,928,981 (accounting for 98.4% of people over 18 years old actually present in the area). The number of people fully vaccinated with the basic dose is: 1,517,576 people (accounting for 78% of people over 18 years old actually present in the area). 157,157 children have been vaccinated against COVID-19 (accounting for 50% of children aged 12-17 years old, basically covering the first dose for cases of high school age).
However, through surveys and assessments, there are still many cases that have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. This shows that: The work of reviewing, counting statistics, and implementing COVID-19 vaccination in some localities has not been done well.
Need to speed up vaccination progress
