Mr. Pham Xuan Sanh - Vice Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee said the initial damage in the district: As of 5:30 p.m. on September 15, the high tide, exceeding the border dike and intruding deeply, caused hundreds of houses in Trung Hau and Yen Dong hamlets, Dien Van commune to be flooded.
In Dien Van commune, one person was injured during the storm protection process. That person was Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu, 54 years old, Dong En hamlet, whose hand was crushed and had to go to the medical station to have 2 fingers amputated.

Strong winds blew off the roofs and completely collapsed 12 kiosks of businesses in Cua Hien. In particular, the high tide exceeded the two spillways of Dien Ky and Dien Thanh. These two spillways have the function of preventing salinity and preserving fresh water for the daily life and production of people in Dien Chau and Yen Thanh districts.
Up to this point, the work to overcome storm No. 10 is being actively carried out by Dien Chau district. At the spillway of Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district is mobilizing dozens of trucks carrying soil and rocks to prevent salt water from overflowing. However, this prevention and overcoming is very difficult because the water level is rising day by day.
