Dien Chau destroyed 1,300 ducklings without quarantine papers.

(Baonghean.vn)- On November 14, Dien Chau Veterinary Station said it had destroyed 1,300 one-day-old ducks without quarantine papers or proof of origin.

Previously, on November 10, in Dien Chau Town, Nghe An Mobile Market Management Team coordinated with Dien Chau Traffic Police Station to inspect a truck with license plate 76C - 08587 driven by Mr. Vo Thanh Tuan, residing in Quang Ngai province, and discovered the vehicle was transporting 1,300 1-day-old ducklings.

The driver could not present a quarantine certificate proving the origin of the ducklings. All ducks were handed over to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for destruction according to the law.

In addition, driver Vo Thanh Tuan was administratively fined 7 million VND for transporting animals without quarantine papers as prescribed.
