(Baonghean.vn) - The Young Journalists Forum and training of young journalists; the exchange between young journalists and generations of journalists is an opportunity for young journalists and journalism students to directly exchange with veteran journalists, drawing valuable experiences in practicing working skills and information processing in the era of technology 4.0.

On the morning of March 17, the Young Journalists Forum and training of young journalists; exchanges between young journalists and generations of journalists took place at the Hanoi Museum in a series of professional activities of the 2019 National Press Festival.

The forum was attended by journalists: Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Mai Duc Loc - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Director of the Institute of Journalism Do Thi Thu Hang and leaders of press agencies, journalism training institutions, veteran journalists and a large number of students from journalism schools...

In his opening speech, journalist Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed that the digital era has been directly affecting modern journalism and media, creating many challenges in the field of training and fostering journalism skills, especially for young journalists today.

He emphasized that the Forum and exchange are opportunities for young journalists and journalism students to directly exchange with veteran journalists, and gain valuable experience in practicing working skills and information processing in the era of Industry 4.0.

The presentations at the forum focused on the main issues for young journalists: Focusing on improving social media skills; continuously updating skills in utilizing technology in creating journalistic works; creative thinking, building creative journalistic works in training young reporters today...

As of July 9, 2018, the whole country has 857 press agencies and magazines.The country has 19,166 press cards issued, of which the number of new cards issued in the first 6 months of 2018 was 1,066.

Among the nearly 20,000 card-granting reporters currently working in newsrooms, a significant number are young journalists.
