Kremlin comments on information about Putin's retention of power
The Kremlin has familiarized itself with Bloomberg's article on "scenarios" for Russian President Vladimir Putin's retention of power after 2024 and considers it a "free exercise" unrelated to topics discussed in the Kremlin, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

Previously, citing three sources close to the Kremlin, Bloomberg reported that the Russian President's administration is looking for ways for Mr. Putin to remain in power after 2024, one of the proposed scenarios is to merge Russia with Belarus into a new state headed by Mr. Putin.
"We are familiar with the article. But this is a kind of 'free exercise', which has nothing to do with the issues being discussed in the Kremlin. The Kremlin has a daily intensive work program, aimed at implementing plans for May, with terms that do not extend to decades, but are literally limited to a few months," Peskov told journalists.
