The Hanoi Department of Health has just sent a document to units in the industry, non-public medical facilities and related companies to suspend the circulation of Prazovite enteric-coated tablets imported by Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Mirazole imported by Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company.

These two drugs for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers do not meet quality standards for solubility.
Prazovite enteric-coated tablets (Pantoprazole 40mg), registration number VN-8095-09, batch number U060211401, expiry date January 12, 2017, manufactured by U Square Lifescience Pvt.Ltd., India, imported by Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
Mirazole (Lansoprazole capsule 30mg), registration number VN-12871-11, batch number MZV004, manufacturing date June 10, 2014, expiry date June 9, 2017) manufactured by Miracle Labs Ltd., India, imported by Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company.
The Department of Health requested the branch of Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in Hanoi and Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company to coordinate with suppliers and distributors to send recall reports to wholesalers, retailers, users and to recall all batches of drugs that do not meet the above quality standards and send the recall reports to the Hanoi Department of Health.
Public and non-public health units review and recall batches of drugs that do not meet quality standards. District health departments notify medical establishments and pharmacies and inspect the suspension of circulation of drugs that do not meet quality standards in their areas of management.
The Department of Health also assigned the inspection department to be on duty, coordinating with functional departments to conduct inspections, monitor the recall, report recalls and handle recalled drugs./.
