Fresh flowers for Tet in recent years have been grown in many localities: Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Vinh City...
Flower growing is not hard work, but requires a lot of care techniques to harvest in time for Tet. During the care process for more than 3 months, flower growers are meticulous with many steps.
Flower growers must invest in installing a grid power system throughout the flower garden to light up at night, helping the flowers grow well in winter, while also taking advantage of the light to care for them in time for the season.

This year, Mr. Nguyen Van An and his wife in Hamlet 6, Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District planted 300,000 chrysanthemums of various types on an area of 6,000 square meters of land.
Mr. An said: When night falls, the entire flower garden is lit up with dozens of light bulbs. Despite the cold weather, the couple still diligently takes care of the flowers: watering, spraying anti-frost, pruning unnecessary buds and sprouts...
To ensure even lighting throughout the flower garden, growers must adjust all the bulbs to light up at the same time. Therefore, in addition to spending money on electricity, they also have to invest in buying replacement bulbs throughout the entire flowering season.
According to Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dien Chau district, this year farmers in the district planted about 20 hectares of flowers of all kinds. The largest area is in Dien Ky and Dien Hong communes, with some households planting nearly 1 hectare.
