Do Luong: posthumously awarded the state honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 12, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district solemnly held a ceremony to posthumously award the honorary state title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".

This time, Do Luong district has 7 mothers who were posthumously awarded the noble and honorable title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" by the President.

The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district organized a ceremony to present honorary titles to relatives of "Heroic Vietnamese Mothers".

In the resistance wars for national liberation and defense of the Fatherland, Do Luong district had 31 thousand people participating. Among them, 4,036 heroic children sacrificed, 3,448 wounded soldiers, 1,414 sick soldiers and more than 1,200 people were infected with the chemical agent Dioxin. Nothing can compensate for that loss and sacrifice. Especially the mothers of martyrs and their relatives.

The conferment and posthumous award of the noble and honorable title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" by the State is the recognition and honor of the Party, State and people for the immense merit and great sacrifice of mothers for the Fatherland. On this occasion, the Commander of Division 324 presented gifts to the relatives of the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.

Up to now, Do Luong district is honored to have 243 mothers awarded or posthumously awarded the noble title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".
