(Baonghean.vn) - On August 9, a delegation of officers from the Non-Commissioned Officers School No. 2 in Vieng Xay, Lao PDR, led by Lieutenant Colonel Thom Phan Keo Mani Chan - Political Commissar of the Non-Commissioned Officers School No. 2 in Vieng Xay, visited and worked in Quy Hop district.

Before working in the district and visiting the People's Committee of Minh Hop commune, the delegation visited and burned incense at La pagoda in Minh Tien hamlet, Minh Hop commune - where some Lao officials used to study and work.

At the working session with the delegation, Mr. Cao Xuan Lien - a veteran and a native of Lang La, Minh Hop commune, provided some information to the delegation of Non-Commissioned Officer School No. 2 Vieng Xay about historical documents of the military area of ​​Xuan Thanh Cultural School.

Next, the delegation went to collect information and images at the Traditional Cultural House of the 3/2 Agricultural Industry Company - where some images of the classes of Xuan Thanh Cultural School at that time were kept.

After gathering information, the delegation met Mr. Hoang Trong Huu, a former teacher of the popular culture class for Vietnamese and Lao cadres since 1962. He said that this was a school for both Vietnamese and Lao soldiers. In 1968, the school was dissolved.

After learning about the landmarks in Minh Hop commune, the delegation continued to have a working session at the Military Command of Quy Hop district with the participants being leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Mass Mobilization Committee, Propaganda Committee, District Party Committee Office, leaders of Minh Hop commune, and Board of Directors of 3/2 Agricultural and Industrial Company.

Here, leaders of Quy Hop district and leaders of the Foreign Affairs Department - Military Region 4 Command exchanged information about the time, location, historical situation of Quy Hop district at that time as well as documentary evidence about Xuan Thanh Cultural School for the delegation to grasp and collect more information.

Currently, traces of the time when Laotian soldiers studied and worked at Xuan Thanh Cultural School are very faint. The elders of that time are no longer around, so it is very difficult to find out.

At the meeting with the leaders of Quy Hop district, the district military command promised to continue to research and provide information to Vieng Vay Non-Commissioned Officer School No. 2 (Laos) so that the school can complete the history of the establishment and development of the Lao Non-Commissioned Officer School today.
