At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Nghe An Provincial Oriental Medicine Association reported on the implementation results of Directive No. 24 CT/TW. Accordingly, after 15 years of implementing the Directive, the Party Committee, government, and the Nghe An Health sector have paid attention to directing the improvement of the system of examination and treatment using Oriental medicine and state management of Oriental medicine and Oriental medicine at all levels.

Up to now, Nghe An Province Oriental Medicine Association has established 318 association organizations, with a total of over 1,600 members. The whole province has 1Traditional Medicine Hospital, 4 general hospitals and 7 specialized hospitals at the provincial level have traditional medicine departments; 100% of district general hospitals and district medical centers have specialized treatment in Oriental medicine; 432/460 medical stations have examination and treatment using Oriental medicine.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has also issued Decision No. 1187 approving the overall development plan for medicinal herbs until 2025, with a vision to 2030; in which, prioritizing investment and focusing on developing specialized areas, forming linkage chains in the production, preservation, and processing of medicinal herbs... Currently, Nghe An has 86 private enterprises, limited liability companies, and joint stock companies trading in pharmaceuticals, gradually reducing dependence on foreign sources.medicinalforeign

Besides, in the process of implementing Directive 24 CT/TW, Nghe An also encountered many difficulties, especially in terms of facilities, equipment; development of medicinal material resources; training activities, development of human resources in traditional medicine and pharmacy.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Oriental Medicine Dau Xuan Canh highly appreciated the implementation of Directive 24-CT/TW of Nghe An province. The province has done well in developing the network of traditional medicine examination and treatment, ensuring good rights and increasing health care options for the people. Nghe An is a province strong in traditional medicine.

In the coming time, Nghe An needs to pay more attention to implementing health insurance payment for examination and treatment for traditional medicine clinics; pay attention to investing in facilities and equipment for examination and treatment of traditional medicine; integrate traditional medicine with the socio-economic development of the province; consider the development of medicinal plants as the pinnacle of agriculture.

Speaking at the meeting, the leader of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department received the working delegation's opinions to direct and evaluate the implementation of Directive 24-CT/TW more closely to the actual situation of the province.
