Nghe An province delegation organizes investment attraction connection in Thailand
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 5, in Bangkok, Thailand, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation organized an Investment Connection Seminar between the Thailand - Vietnam Business Council and Nghe An Province.
Comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the delegation chaired the discussion. Attending this event were representatives of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, Departments: Natural Resources and Environment; Agriculture and Rural Development; Nghi Loc District People's Committee and WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An Joint Stock Company.
On the side of the Thailand - Vietnam Business Council, there was Mr. Ra Ket Sing - Secretary General and leaders of member enterprises and banks of the council.


Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that this is the first time Nghe An province has organized an investment connection seminar with the Thailand - Vietnam Business Council. This demonstrates the interest and trust of Thai enterprises in the investment environment of Nghe An province, and at the same time opens up many attractive cooperation opportunities between Thai enterprises and Nghe An province, as well as between Nghe An enterprises and Thailand in the coming time.
In the context of complicated developments in the world economy, Nghe An still maintains an attractive destination for foreign investors with 130 investment projects from 14 countries and territories with a total registered investment capital of nearly 3.85 billion USD; of which Thailand ranks 5th in terms of the number of projects and investment capital in Nghe An province with 16 projects, total registered investment capital of nearly 263.5 million USD.


Sharing the potential, strengths, investment environment and attractive investment attraction mechanisms and policies of the province, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that the cooperation opportunities between Nghe An and Thai enterprises in the coming time are very large. To prepare conditions to continue welcoming the wave of foreign investment in general and Thai investors in particular into Vietnam, Nghe An province is synchronously implementing 05 key solutions: Planning and land; Synchronous infrastructure; High-quality human resources; Innovation, reform, and substantial improvement of the investment and business environment; Accompanying and supporting enterprises and investors.
Within the framework of the seminar, Thai enterprises had a networking session, discussing issues of concern regarding tax policies, wages, import of aquatic raw materials and hoped to have opportunities for investment cooperation in areas such as aquatic product processing, seafood processing industry, manufacturing... with Nghe An province.
On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully thanked the introduction and connection of WHA Group and the Thai Business Council to coordinate the organization of the seminar; thanked the important contributions of foreign enterprises, including Thai enterprises as well as WHA Group in the socio-economic development of Nghe An province.


Comrade Nguyen Van De also acknowledged the determination and seriousness of Thai investors in implementing the project as planned in Nghe An province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hoped that Thai enterprises would continue to choose Nghe An province as a destination for investment survey.
Nghe An province pledges to make more efforts to improve the investment environment, prepare planning, land, infrastructure, human resources and other synchronous requirements to promptly receive and attract foreign direct investment flows, including Thai investors.
Also during the working trip, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation worked with the leaders of WHA Group, the leaders of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand and visited the Industrial Parks of WHA Group and the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand.
