Delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam attends the 20th anniversary of ICAPP

On this occasion, Comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Communist Party of Vietnam, sent a congratulatory letter to ICAPP.

The Celebration was attended by representatives of more than 50 political parties from Asian countries, representatives of the Permanent Conference of Latin American and Caribbean Political Parties (COPPPAL) and representatives of the European Parliament.

The delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van - Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission, member of the ICAPP Standing Committee, attended this important event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van highly appreciated the prestige and influence of ICAPP in the political life of Asian political parties, affirming that the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to make efforts together with political parties in Asia to contribute to the implementation of ICAPP's common goals in the future.

The anniversary is an important milestone marking the construction and development process of ICAPP.

Established in September 2000 in Manila, Philippines with the aim of promoting exchange and cooperation between political parties with different political ideologies in the Asian region, ICAPP has grown in both breadth and depth, becoming the largest multilateral political party forum in the region, contributing to promoting cooperation, peace and prosperity in the Asian region.

The number of political parties in the region participating in ICAPP activities has increased significantly, from 40 political parties from 21 countries in 2000, to nearly 100 political parties attending ICAPP plenary meetings today.
