On the afternoon of May 6, in Quynh Luu district, National Assembly deputies of Nghe An province's National Assembly delegation had a thematic voter contact meeting with officials, union members, and women from 3 districts: Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, and Hoang Mai town. The thematic voter contact meeting was organized by the provincial National Assembly delegation in coordination with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union.

Participating in the conference to meet voters were National Assembly deputies: Pham Phu Binh - Standing member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union.

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union; leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches and leaders of Quynh Luu district.

The National Assembly will consider and pass 10 draft laws and 3 resolutions.

Opening the conference, National Assembly delegate Pham Phu Binh - Standing member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee informed voters of the expected program and content of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Specifically, at this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 10 draft laws and 3 resolutions. Of particular interest are the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended); the draft Law on Road Traffic; the draft Law on Road Traffic Safety. Among the 3 resolutions expected to be passed is a resolution on piloting the addition of a special mechanism for the development of Nghe An province.

At this session, the National Assembly will also give opinions on 10 draft laws, including the draft law on urban and rural planning and the draft law on preventing human trafficking; and at the same time consider and decide on a number of important issues of the country related to socio-economics, finance and budget.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union informed the Provincial National Assembly Delegation about the synthesis of recommendations and proposals from voters who are cadres, members, and women in the province related to 6 groups of issues: social insurance policy for women; implementation of gender equality policy; prevention and control of domestic violence; prevention and control of child abuse; labor, employment and social security; education and training...

There were 19 voters who made suggestions and recommendations to the National Assembly and all levels and sectors on 34 issues. Voter Nguyen Thi Hoa - President of the Women's Union of Yen Thanh district reflected on the shortcomings related to the health insurance policy for students. Although the State supports 30%, the contribution rate is still higher than that of family members when participating in voluntary health insurance in the locality. Therefore, it is recommended that competent authorities study to allow students to participate in health insurance according to their households, creating favorable conditions and encouraging people to participate in health insurance.

The Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Yen Thanh District also proposed that the National Assembly study and supplement maternity benefits for women participating in voluntary social insurance, similar to those participating in compulsory social insurance. At the same time, there should be a policy to support women who lose their jobs due to employers not being able to provide jobs, ensuring that female workers continue to participate in social insurance, contributing to the implementation of sustainable social security policies.

Voter Ho Thi Tuyet - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quynh Hau Commune (Quynh Luu District) expressed concerns about the increasing trend of child abuse on the Internet and the level of impact on children's health and psychology. Therefore, she suggested that all levels and sectors should have policies and strengthen measures and solutions to protect children on the Internet.

Voter Hoang Huong Thao - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quynh Doi Commune (Quynh Luu District) reflected: Currently, the State has policies to support vocational training and job creation for women from poor and near-poor households; but disabled and single women who are not from poor households have not received support. It is recommended that competent authorities study and supplement policies to support vocational training and job creation for disabled and single women.

In addition to the above opinions, many voters also expressed their concerns and proposed that the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Ministries and Branches and Nghe An Province increase loan capital to create jobs for members and women; supplement regulations and strengthen law enforcement related to gender equality, prevention of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual abuse of girls leading to unwanted pregnancies and early motherhood, etc.

Some opinions also proposed increasing the proportion of female cadres in Party committees and elected representatives; reducing the retirement age for female workers.

Explains many issues

At the end of the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Thai Thi An Chung affirmed that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation received and synthesized all the opinions and feedback from voters, and at the same time classified them; if they are under the authority of the National Assembly, they will be sent to the National Assembly Standing Committee, if they are under the authority of the province, they will be sent to the Provincial People's Committee for resolution.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also explained and clarified the reason why voluntary social insurance participants have not yet enjoyed maternity benefits because they have not contributed to the sickness and maternity fund like compulsory social insurance participants.

Regarding the health insurance policy for students, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also received it at many meetings with voters and reported it to the Central Ministries and branches, and was told that it would receive it to amend and supplement the draft revised health insurance law in the coming time.
