Delegation of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Nghe An province
On the afternoon of December 6, the Central Delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union had a meeting and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Nghe An province.
On the side of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, there was comrade MonXay Laomuaxiong - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union as Head of the delegation.
Receiving the delegation were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Party Office, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
On the side of the Provincial Youth Union, there was comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Provincial Youth Union.
The meeting and courtesy call with leaders of Nghe An province is within the framework of the visit and working program ofCentral Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Unionin Nghe An province from December 6 - 8, 2024.
This working program aims to implement the Cooperation Agreement between the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union for the period 2022 - 2027. At the same time, it strengthens the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, happily welcomed the delegation. At the same time, he wished the delegation good health and many meaningful activities during their working days in Nghe An.
He affirmed that over the years, together with the people of the whole country, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province have always promoted the fine traditions that the Party, State and people of the two countries have worked hard to build. Exchange and cooperation activities in all fields have become increasingly in-depth, practical and effective.
Nghe An always maintains and develops cooperative relationships with localities sharing borders:Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxayand provinces with traditional cooperative relations: Vientiane, Khammouane, Savannakhet, Xay Som Bun.
In October 2024, the Thanh Thuy - Nam On border gate pair will be allowed to conduct cross-border trading and exchange of goods between Nghe An and Bolikhamxay provinces, which is of great significance in promoting the development cooperation relationship between the two provinces.
In the 2024-2025 school year, colleges and universities in the province will receive 220 Lao students to study. In addition, Nghe An is the first province in the country to receive Lao students to study high school under the cooperation program. After 2 years of study, the Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2 has received 61 students, who have good academic performance and conduct, selected from 6 provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay, Vientiane, Savannakhet, and Kham Muon.
Currently, Nghe An province has nearly 1 million union members and youth, accounting for about 29% of the province's population, including 123,955 union members, ranking third in the country after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Nghe An youth and youth from neighboring provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan and Bolikhamxay have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, loyalty and steadfastness, organized many practical and meaningful activities, signing programs, cooperation and friendship exchanges.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Hong Vinh hoped that the youth unions of Vietnam and Laos in general and Nghe An youth in particular would continue to closely coordinate in organizing activities, enhancing exchanges and sharing experiences. In particular, it is necessary to widely spread the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, Laos and Vietnam among the young generations of the two countries. The provincial Party Committee and government will always create favorable conditions for the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union to strengthen coordination in all aspects of work.
From this meaningful meeting, he believes that the young generation will work together to further strengthen and deepen the precious traditional friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
On behalf of the delegation, comrade MonXay Laomuaxiong - Alternate member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union thanked the thoughtful and respectful reception of the leaders of Nghe An province.
After listening to the information shared by comrade Le Hong Vinh, comrade MonXay Laomuaxiong also sent his congratulations to Nghe An province as the province has achieved rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development in recent times.
At the same time, he expressed his hope that there would be more and more exchange activities and experiences between the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, in order to further enhance the friendship and solidarity between Laos and Vietnam that has been laid the foundation and painstakingly cultivated and built by generations of leaders of the two countries.
