Dien Chau delegation takes the lead at the 17th Phu Dong Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - After 4 exciting days, the 17th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival has concluded its competitions. Currently, Dien Chau team is temporarily leading with 29 first prizes.

On the evening of December 24, at Vinh City Stadium, the final events of the athletics event entered the competition. This is the most competitive event with the appearance of many excellent athletes from 21 districts and towns in the province. The most intense events are the men's and women's 3,000 meter, 5,000 meter, long jump, and high jump events.

As a result, at the primary school level, the teams of Hoang Mai Town, Dien Chau, and Vinh City won first prizes in the 60m men's and women's events and the long jump men's and women's events, respectively.
At the secondary school level with 14 competition events, the first prizes were divided equally among the teams of Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Nghia Dan, Dien Chau, Tuong Duong, Tan Ky, Ky Son, Vinh City, and Quy Chau.

At the secondary school level, Dien Chau delegation won first prize in 4/18 competition categories. Next were the delegations of Tuong Duong, Thanh Chuong, Nghia Dan, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc and Vinh City.

Thus, by the end of December 24, the 8 events of the 17th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival, namely athletics, table tennis, badminton, chess, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, soccer and stick pushing, had ended. According to the initial summary, Dien Chau delegation is temporarily ranked first with 58 awards, including 29 first prizes. Second place is the delegations of Vinh City and Thanh Chuong; Third place is the delegations of Ky Son and Quy Hop.
As planned, the closing ceremony will be held on the afternoon of December 25.
