Provincial People's Council monitoring delegation works in Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 6, the Provincial People's Council's supervision delegation worked with the Procuracy and the Do Luong District Police on the investigation, prosecution, and execution of judgments on cases of violating economic management order in the province.

At the meeting, the representative of the District Police reported on the investigation of cases of violations of economic management order in the district. In 2015, there were 3 cases and 3 subjects in the district, of which 1 case and 1 defendant were prosecuted; 2 cases and 2 subjects were administratively handled by the Traffic Police Team 1-7 under the PC 67 Department of Nghe An Provincial Police. In 2016, there was 1 case and 2 defendants. In the first 6 months of 2017, there was 1 case and 1 defendant was prosecuted. All violations were related to the acts of buying, selling, storing, transporting and trading in prohibited goods.
On the side of the Procuracy, from January 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017, it received 3 reports of crimes of trafficking in prohibited goods, all of which were processed and prosecuted. Regarding the results of the implementation of the right to prosecute and supervise the trial of cases of violations of economic management order, the District People's Procuracy issued sentences in accordance with the indictments and charges.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Phan Duc Dong - Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the results achieved by the Do Luong District Police and Procuracy. He requested the police to strengthen the fight, prevention and handling of cases of violations of order and economy in the area. Coordinate and effectively handle violations. Strengthen relations and coordination with prosecution agencies to handle cases quickly and effectively. For the Procuracy, it is required to coordinate with competent authorities to handle the right people, the right crimes, and the law, avoid wrongful convictions, let criminals escape and not wrongfully convict innocent people.
On the same afternoon, the Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation continued to work with the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department and the District People's Court on the trial and enforcement of civil judgments in cases of violating economic management order in the district.

At the meeting, the representative of Do Luong District Court reported on the trial of cases of violations of economic management order in the district. From January 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017, the District People's Court accepted 4 cases of violations of economic management order in the district, of which 2 cases were tried and 2 cases were returned for investigation, and 2 cases were supplemented.
Regarding the enforcement of civil judgments, from 2015 to the first 6 months of 2017, the unit has handled 2 judgments of the People's Court of Do Luong district on crimes of violating economic management order. These include the enforcement of confiscation to the public treasury, fines for court fees and destruction of criminal evidence. Regarding the management of evidence, the assets temporarily detained in cases of violating economic management order are well preserved, without loss, damage, misplacement or confusion.
Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the results achieved by the district court and the district enforcement agency. For the district court, he requested to proactively coordinate with departments and branches to effectively try cases. It is necessary to proactively train to improve professional skills. Proactively report and promptly handle cases, focusing on handling cases of storing and trading fireworks.
For the District Judgment Enforcement Office, it is necessary to pay attention to coordinating with the government and relevant functional departments, proactively handling cases well. At the same time, it is necessary to have specific measures to resolve the prolonged cases./.
