Nghe An students won high prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - Every year, the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students is held. This year's competition was held from March 5 to 8 in Hai Phong city and the Nghe An province student delegation had many award-winning projects.

This is a contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technical Innovation, and Intel Vietnam. In 2016, the northern provinces and cities alone had 36 units and 5 universities with specialized student systems with 234 participating projects. Of which, there were 173 high school projects, 61 middle school projects in 20 scientific fields.

At this competition, Nghe An delegation had 6 excellent projects that won First Prize at the Provincial Science and Technology Competition. As a result, 3 projects won Third Prize and 2 projects won Encouragement Prize. Among them, there was 1 work by a Thai ethnic secondary school student.
It is known that the projects with the best quality will be selected to participate in the international science and engineering competition (Intel ISEF) held in the United States in the near future.
In addition, to encourage students to love and be passionate about scientific and technical research, the Ministry of Education and Training has stipulated that all high school students who win third prize or higher in the national science and technology competition will be considered as national excellent students in cultural subjects and will be admitted directly to universities and colleges.
