(Baonghean.vn) - To help Moong Thi Tan Mao (born in 2011, residing in Na Be village, Xa Luong, Tuong Duong) soon stabilize her life in the short and long term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tuong Duong District Police has decided to sponsor her.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Huu Phong - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tuong Duong District Police said that with the agreement of the unit's leaders, the Youth Union will sponsor Moong Thi Tan Mao - a victim who was kidnapped and sold to China and was rescued by Tuong Duong District Police and returned to her family on May 6.

Moong Thi Tan Mao has an extremely pitiful situation. Her mother left when she was very young, and her father remarried. Due to difficult economic circumstances, her parents do not have the means to care for their daughter. Her father is currently working in gold in Quang Nam.

Due to lack of care and attention from relatives, in mid-April 2016, Moong Thi Tan Mao was kidnapped by bad guys and sold to China to be adopted by a family with infertility problems. 20 days after being kidnapped and sold, Moong Thi Tan Mao was rescued by the Tuong Duong District Police and returned to her family.

“In the immediate future, the Youth Union members in the branch will deduct a portion of their salary to support the guardian (Mr. Cut Van Son, Moong Thi Tan Mao’s uncle) to take care of and raise the child. It is estimated that with 10,000 VND per person, the Youth Union of Tuong Duong District Police will support the child with about 800,000 VND per month. This amount of money will help relatives cover necessary expenses for Mao, help the child overcome immediate difficulties, and soon stabilize his life after the incidents that have occurred,” said Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Huu Phong.

In addition to the help of the Youth Union of Tuong Duong District Police, Moong Thi Tan Mao also received psychological help and support from the Blue Dragon organization (an organization that helps women and girls who are victims of human trafficking).
