Youth Union members of provincial agencies contribute ideas to the draft congress of Youth Unions at all levels

(Baonghean.vn) - Representatives of youth union members of provincial agencies focused on contributing ideas on the layout and title of the report; evaluating the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in the past term; and the direction of the Youth Union's work in the period 2017-2020.

On the morning of June 8, the Provincial Youth Union held a conference to contribute ideas to the draft political report of the 11th National Youth Union Congress and the 18th Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress among youth union members of provincial agencies.

Giving comments on the draft political report of the National Youth Union Congress, the Secretary of the Youth Union of provincial agencies said that the report document should not be heavy on form and theory, but should be brief, concise and specific.

The Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Planning and Investment suggested that in the program to accompany young people in starting a business, it is necessary to provide solutions and clear policies and mechanisms to concretize youth models, bringing benefits to young people themselves and to society.

Commenting on the draft political report of the provincial Youth Union Congress, in assessing the limitations and shortcomings, the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Planning and Investment added: Youth Union activities at the grassroots level still prioritize the surface, not promoting depth, leading to poor quality in some localities, especially rural and mountainous areas. Or, the negative side of the rapid development of social networks is causing many consequences for young people, but the Youth Union has not yet found a way to overcome it.

The Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Industry and Trade suggested that in the implementation of volunteer movements, volunteer movements for islands should be added. For creative youth movements, it is necessary to build a reasonable mechanism to encourage and motivate young union members to participate. For movements to protect the Fatherland, it is necessary to focus on innovating the form of education for young people, specifically the Youth Union organization coordinating with families and the whole society.

Regarding the general assessment, the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Political School proposed an overview of Nghe An youth. Regarding shortcomings, the work of uniting and gathering youth, especially in ethnic minority areas and religious youth, still has many shortcomings, and the gathering rate is not high. Adding to the causes of the limitations, he said that: some social issues and the negative aspects of the market mechanism have been and are affecting the awareness of a part of the youth; or the capacity of the Youth Union organizations at the grassroots level is still weak.

Sharing the same view, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper Ha Nguyen Khoa suggested that it is necessary to supplement more in-depth assessments of the youth volunteer movement such as: specifying good practices and typical models to highlight the Youth Union's imprints, creating inspiration and spreading among youth union members; besides, promoting the characteristics of Nghe An youth in the startup movement.

In the program to accompany young people in starting and establishing their businesses, the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Southeast Economic Zone proposed to add more content: opening training classes, practicing cultural skills in businesses for young people, helping young people form habits, working styles, ways of behaving and civilized and polite behavior in the workplace. In addition, it is necessary to honor outstanding young people in the business sector who have made positive and creative contributions to labor and production.

At the conference, some opinions suggested adding content to the draft political report of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress such as: including emulation and reward discipline in the work of building the Youth Union; Youth Union cadre work needs to focus on the grassroots as the foundation for the activities of Youth Union organizations; propagating and educating young people to understand the security and sovereignty of the country, refuting distorted arguments.

Regarding the slogan of the Provincial Youth Union Congress, most opinions agree that the slogan must appeal to all young people, so the words must be close. The majority agreed with the option "Nghe An Youth: Overcoming difficulties - Dynamic - Intellectual - Affectionate", and at the same time suggested some additional options such as: "Nghe An Youth: Solidarity - Shock - Creativity - Responsibility"; "Nghe An Youth: Solidarity - Overcoming difficulties - Intellectual - Affectionate"...

Concluding the conference, comrade Pham Ngoc Canh acknowledged and accepted the comments and assigned the specialized departments to synthesize them to contribute to completing a quality political report for the congress./.
