White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the two leaders would have a brief one-on-one meeting before attending a social dinner with two other officials on the evening of February 27.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney will accompany Trump. Kim is expected to be accompanied by his top aide Kim Yong Chol and a "third aide".
The schedule for the second day of the summit has not yet been announced.

Kim Jong-un's motorcade crossed the Phu Dong Bridge, entered National Highway 5, and proceeded towards the center of Hanoi.

The motorcade of leader Kim Jong-un has entered Hanoi. At 10:43 AM, the vehicles entered Nguyen Van Linh Street.
Security has been tightened in central Hanoi, at the hotel believed to be where Kim Jong-un will be staying, and along the route his motorcade is taking from Lang Son to Hanoi. Several roads have been blocked, and agents have been spotted on the rooftop of a shopping mall on Nguyen Van Linh Street.
At the intersections of Ba Trieu - Ly Thuong Kiet and Hang Bai - Ly Thuong Kiet, police officers are reminding businesses and residents to close their doors.

At 9:20 AM, the motorcade of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un passed through Chi Lang Pass (Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province) and proceeded straight to Hanoi along National Highway 1.

Before the North Korean leader stepped off the train at Dong Dang station to board his car for Hanoi, a team of 12 bodyguards took their positions, ready to run alongside his vehicle as it drove away.

The current temperature in Lang Son is 13 degrees Celsius and the humidity is as high as 98%. It has just started to rain lightly, and many people have to wear raincoats while standing outside the station waiting to welcome the North Korean leader. Station staff are constantly wiping dry the area in front of the station.

At the Melia Hotel, reporters were pushed further away than usual. Hundreds of reporters were gathered on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, at the corner with Quang Trung Street. The road running past the hotel was blocked from both sides, and anyone with an employee ID card had to stop, present their card, and undergo verification.
Melia is where a delegation of hundreds of North Koreans is staying and is rumored to be where Kim Jong-un will remain.

Currently, only North Korean photographers and cameramen have access to Dong Dang train station. Kim Jong-un usually has a group of journalists accompanying him on his trips to report and film documentaries. At the Melia Hotel in Hanoi, where a group from the North Korean delegation is staying, North Korean cameramen also went down to the hotel grounds to film international journalists at work.
Meanwhile, North Korean advance staff were working with Vietnamese personnel to conduct final checks on preparations at Dong Dang station, such as adjusting the red carpet and hanging flags and flowers.

Preparations for welcoming leader Kim Jong-un's train at Dong Dang station have been completed. Politburo member and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Vo Van Thuong, Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung were present at the welcoming ceremony.

Hundreds of reporters have been in Dong Dang since yesterday hoping to capture valuable images of the North Korean leader. At this point, it's very difficult to find a good filming or photography spot because news agencies and newspapers have already "reserved" their spots.
Some photojournalists are willing to pay for ladders so they can get better angles for their shots.
