Leader Kim Jong-un's motorcade has arrived in Hanoi to prepare for the summit with US President Donald Trump and an official visit to Vietnam.
US-North Korea summit schedule day one
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the two leaders will meet briefly one-on-one before attending a social dinner with two other officials on the evening of February 27.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney will accompany Mr Trump. Mr Kim is said to be accompanied by top aide Kim Yong Chol and a "third aide".
The schedule for the second day of the summit has not been announced.

Leader Kim Jong-un turned onto Ly Thuong Kiet Street and headed to the Melia Hotel. His limousine stopped in front of the hotel lobby with a team of 12 bodyguards standing around. Many people stood on the side of the road to watch Mr. Kim's motorcade.

Security has been tightened in the centre of Hanoi, the hotel where Mr Kim is believed to be staying and the route his motorcade is taking from Lang Son to Hanoi. Several roads have been blocked, and agents have been seen on the rooftop of a shopping mall on Nguyen Van Linh Street.
At the intersection of Ba Trieu - Ly Thuong Kiet and Hang Bai - Ly Thuong Kiet, police are reminding agencies and residents to close their doors.

Mr. Kim's convoy passes through Chi Lang pass.
At 9:20 a.m., North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's motorcade passed through Chi Lang Pass (Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province) and headed straight to Hanoi on National Highway 1.This morning, local people and more than 200 students from high schools in Chi Lang district were present, standing along both sides of National Highway 1, holding flowers and flags to welcome the convoy.
The convoy is expected to arrive in Hanoi in more than an hour.

The green train rolls towards China
The train stopped at the station for about an hour under tight security. At 9:10, the train started rolling towards Pingxiang (China).

After getting off at Dong Dang station, Mr. Kim Jong-un immediately got into a car to travel to Hanoi. As usual, 12 bodyguards jogged around Mr. Kim’s car as it started moving.

Lang Son is cold
The current temperature in Lang Son is 13 degrees Celsius and the humidity is up to 98%. It has just started to rain lightly, many people have to wear raincoats while standing outside the station waiting to welcome the North Korean leader. The station staff have to constantly wipe the front yard dry.

Blocking both ends of the Melia hotel road
At the Melia Hotel, reporters were pushed further away than usual. Hundreds of reporters were gathered on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, at the corner of Quang Trung. The road across from the hotel was blocked on both sides, and anyone with an employee card entering or leaving the building had to stop and show their card and be checked.
Melia is where a delegation of hundreds of North Koreans is staying and is rumored to be where Mr Kim will stay.

Trump and Kim may have dinner together tomorrow.
YonhapCiting some sources, the two leaders may have dinner together on the evening of February 27, however the location and details of the dinner have not been determined.
According toYonhap, The Hanoi Opera House is one of the potential venues for the banquet because Kim Chang Son, a senior North Korean official in charge of logistical details for the leader's trip, has recently visited the building several times with US officials.
Both leaders are expected to arrive in Vietnam today, February 26.
Only North Korean reporters have access
Currently, only North Korean photographers and cameramen are allowed close to Dong Dang station. Mr. Kim often has a press team accompanying him on his trips to report and make documentaries. At the Melia Hotel in Hanoi, where a group of the North Korean delegation is staying, North Korean cameramen also go below the hotel to film international press working.
Meanwhile, North Korean advance staff are working with Vietnamese staff to make final checks on preparations at Dong Dang station, such as adjusting the red carpet and hanging flags and flowers...
