The motorcade of leader Kim Jong-un has arrived in Hanoi in preparation for the summit with US President Donald Trump and his official visit to Vietnam.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the two leaders would have a brief one-on-one meeting before attending a social dinner with two other officials on the evening of February 27.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney will accompany Trump. Kim is expected to be accompanied by his top aide Kim Yong Chol and a "third aide".

At 9:20 AM, the motorcade of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un passed through Chi Lang Pass (Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province) and proceeded straight to Hanoi along National Highway 1.This morning, local residents and over 200 high school students from schools in Chi Lang district gathered along both sides of National Highway 1, holding flowers and flags to welcome the convoy.
The convoy is expected to arrive in Hanoi in just over an hour.

The current temperature in Lang Son is 13 degrees Celsius and the humidity is as high as 98%. It has just started to rain lightly, and many people have to wear raincoats while standing outside the station waiting to welcome the North Korean leader. Station staff are constantly wiping dry the area in front of the station.
