Japanese businesses want to buy rice bran from Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to understand the supply of raw materials for rice bran oil production, a delegation of Japanese businesses conducted a survey at several rice production and trading facilities in Dien Chau and Yen Thanh districts.

Mr. Motonori Tsuno, Director of the Project Development Office of Tsuno Food Industry Company, led the delegation. Accompanying him were Mr. Nguyen Van Lap, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives from several departments of the Department, and representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Nghe An. |
With the support of JICA and Nghe An province, on the morning of March 6th, the delegation visited and learned about the production and business situation at several rice milling facilities in the food processing village of Dien Ky commune (Dien Chau district).
Currently, this craft village has about 46 households, with an average production of 200 tons/month/household, serving markets within and outside the province, and also exporting finished rice products to some countries such as Laos, China, etc.

Founded in 1947, Tsuno Company, with annual revenue of approximately 20 trillion yen, is one of the world's leading high-tech enterprises producing a diverse range of oil-containing products from rice bran. |
During discussions with business owners, the Japanese delegation thoroughly investigated the origin of the rice, the milling process, the yield and quality of rice bran, price fluctuations, etc., and received detailed answers from the business owners.
Accordingly, the main input is paddy rice purchased in Dien Chau and Yen Thanh districts or brown rice imported from southern provinces. After milling, an average of 10 tons of brown rice yields 9 tons of white rice and 1 ton of bran. The rice bran is sold to nearby livestock farmers or animal feed production businesses in the province.

Earlier that morning, the delegation also visited the production facility of Vinh Hoa Co., Ltd. in Vinh Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district), to learn about the company's rice bran supply capacity and to hear more about its agricultural products that utilize science and technology.
