Rapid Response Team on Highway 1A

(Baonghean.vn) - With the responsibility of young people in ensuring traffic safety and order. Volunteers of the First Aid Team - Rapid Response to Traffic Accidents on National Highway 1A, Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District are contributing to building a beautiful and responsible lifestyle among young people, with a strong influence.

Established in 2010 with 12 volunteers who are union members and young people, they have effectively supported the commune and district police to ensure traffic order and safety in the area, bringing trust to the people.

Dien Ky Traffic Accident First Aid Team was honored to receive gifts and commendation from Central leaders in 2015.

After its establishment, the team established regulations, set out tasks, assigned specific responsibilities to each member, scheduled shifts, and monitored traffic developments in the commune 24/7. The team members' tasks are to be on duty at traffic hotspots, receive traffic accident reports from people via the hotline system, quickly arrive at the scene to provide first aid to injured victims, protect the scene, and direct traffic.

Team Leader Vu Minh Tuan shared: When a traffic accident occurs, the volunteers' top priority is to take the right action, make the right decision, react quickly, and ensure the fastest rescue for the victims. Despite the difficulties, Dien Ky volunteers are not afraid of hardships or difficulties, they divide up to respond to calls and are ready to go regardless of day or night.

Mr. Dang Minh Khoa - a victim of a traffic accident emotionally shared: "I am very grateful to the members of the First Aid Team, without them I would not be alive. I hope that everywhere there are volunteer teams like this to help people in traffic accidents."

Currently, the number of people who have died or suffered injuries due to traffic accidents in Dien Ky area has decreased significantly thanks to the appearance of volunteers from the Traffic Accident First Aid Team here. Their images are truly examples for the life of the community.

After more than 2 years of establishment, the team has responded promptly to 24 traffic accidents, performed first aid and emergency treatment and taken 76 victims to the hospital for timely treatment. Since the beginning of the year, the team has responded to 7 cases and 21 victims. With the appearance of rapid response teams, people are not only reassured but also very proud of their children who volunteered to do meaningful humanitarian work.

With meaningful work for the community, in 2015, the Dien Ky Commune Traffic Accident First Aid Team was honored to receive encouragement, gifts and commendation from comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc, then Deputy Prime Minister, comrade Dinh La Thang - Minister of Transport, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - First Secretary of the Central Youth Union.

The volunteers of the Dien Ky Traffic Accident Response Team are very young, but they have chosen their own path, living without indifference and wholeheartedly for the community. Their work comes from pure feelings and a spirit of voluntary selflessness, contributing to creating a beautiful image of young people in the Ho Chi Minh era.
