Changes in the revolutionary homeland

(Baonghean.vn) - Promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, the Party Committee and people of Vo Liet commune (Thanh Chuong) are taking advantage of favorable conditions, focusing on the strength of the great national unity bloc, creating positive changes in many areas of life, economy and society.

86 years ago, under the leadership of the Party, more than 20,000 Thanh Chuong farmers from 5 communes rose up and marched to the district office in Ro (Vo Liet) to protest for tax reduction. Faced with the enemy's repression, the people rose up and burned down the district office, forcing the district chief and his officials to flee. Afterwards, the district Party Committee led the organization and establishment of the government.

Promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, over the past decades, Vo Liet has always been a dynamic and creative land in labor and production. Especially when Ro bridge and Ho Chi Minh road passing through the area were completed and put into use, the socio-economic situation of the commune had a breakthrough. The commune has basically completed the land conversion, continued to develop models of fish farming in dams, converted low-lying fields, low-efficiency production to aquaculture, contributing to increasing income per unit area. VAC economic models, large-scale farms, and commodity-oriented production are increasingly developing.

Basic industrial and construction activities continue to grow, develop in a diverse and rich way such as unburnt brick production; sand mining; repair of agricultural and forestry machinery; civil carpentry; repair of civil electricity and motorbikes; milling and pounding flour; vermicelli and cake processing. The above industries have created jobs and stable income for hundreds of workers... many good production and business models have appeared.

Vo Liet fields are wide and beautiful, always giving high productivity thanks to intensive investment by the people.

In 2015-2016, the commune mobilized many resources to build 27 large and small projects with a total cost of 40 billion VND (of which the people contributed 7.4 billion VND); built 1.52 km of new asphalt and concrete type A roads, 1.2 km of canals, 2 bridges of all kinds; built and upgraded cultural works such as: Vo Liet Communal House, Bach Ma Temple, Phan Sy Thuc Church, medical station, secondary school, primary school; built 3 new transformer stations to meet the needs of the people...

Along with that, cultural, artistic, sports, medical, population/family planning activities have made much progress, and people's material and spiritual life is increasingly improved.

Since the new term congress, the Party Committee has developed key programs, programs to implement resolutions of higher levels, issued specialized resolutions; assigned each comrade in the Party Committee to be in charge of programs and plans of the Party Committee, with specific roadmaps and timelines. The political system has been consolidated and developed, leadership and management capacity has had many positive changes, and the staff has matured in the new mechanism.

The commune was not chosen as the NTM finish line this year, so it was not provided with cement according to the mechanism, but the people agreed and contributed over 2 billion VND to buy cement, along with the commune supporting over 500 million VND for the villages to build roads.

Despite many achievements, in the face of increasingly high innovation requirements, Vo Liet commune still has a lot of work to do, especially investing in building new rural areas. Up to now, the commune has only achieved 13/19 new rural criteria.

As a land that was once "a pioneer" in the revolutionary movement of 30-31, we believe that with the efforts and determination to strive, the Party Committee and people of Vo Liet commune will make a breakthrough, develop more and more strongly, and successfully complete the goals set out in the resolution of the commune Party Congress.
