Foreigners suddenly broke into Vietnam's air traffic control headquarters

The aviation security control force of the Southern Air Traffic Management Company (HCMC) promptly detected and controlled the subject. However, the subject fought back and continued to rush into the office area of ​​the Southern Air Traffic Management Company.

After controlling the subject, the aviation security control force coordinated and handed over to Tan Binh District Police for handling according to the law.

The incident did not cause any damage to equipment and did not affect flight operations at the Southern Air Traffic Management Company.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam directed and sent a delegation of officials directly to the Southern Air Traffic Management Company to coordinate with the Southern Airport Authority, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation and Tan Binh District Police to investigate and clarify the incident.

Air traffic management performs the function of airspace management, managing domestic and international civil aviation activities. Air traffic management has participated in the process of assigning and cooperating internationally in providing air transport services when directly operating international aircraft flying to, from and transiting through Vietnam's sovereign airspace.

Flight management units perform the functions of managing, operating and controlling flight activities on assigned flight corridors and airspace; ensuring air traffic, air reporting and aviation meteorological services; participating in organizing search and rescue operations for domestic and foreign civil aircraft within the scope of responsibility.
