Vietnam women's team gathers to prepare for ASIAD 19 in China
(Baonghean.vn) - To prepare for the 19th ASIAD taking place in China this coming September, tomorrow (August 10), the Vietnamese women's team will gather again at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
After concluding their historic journey at the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team will have a week off and will regroup tomorrow (August 10) to prepare for the 19th ASIAD taking place in China.
In this training session, coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues added many young faces such as Nguyen Thi Hoa, Pham Thi Lan Anh (Hanoi); Tran Thi Duyen, Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (Ha Nam), bringing the number of players born after 2000 of the Vietnam women's team to 11 players (out of a total of 25 players called up). Calling these players to join the team is part of the plan to train the next generation of the Vietnam women's team, preparing for future goals.
In the case of Huynh Nhu, this striker is still in the process of completing a contract with Lank Vilaverdense Club, so Huynh Nhu's participation in training and competing with the Vietnamese women's team at ASIAD 19 will be reconfirmed after reaching an agreement with the home club.
According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from August 10 to 19. After that, the team will have a training trip in Hai Phong before returning to Hanoi to prepare for their trip to China.
According to the draw results on July 27, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group D with Japan, Nepal and Bangladesh. The group stage matches of the Vietnamese women's team will take place from September 22 to 28 at the Wenzhou Olympic Stadium, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China.
