Vietnam women's team gathers to prepare for the 2023 Women's World Cup Finals
(Baonghean.vn) - Today (May 22), the Vietnam Women's National Team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to begin the next training phase, aiming for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals in New Zealand and Australia this coming July.
After the end of SEA Games 32,Vietnam women's teamhave a few days off and will regroup today (May 22) to prepare for the 2023 World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20. This is the first time that coach Mai Duc Chung and his team have been present at the number 1 tournament on the planet.
The plan of the Vietnam Women's National Team from now until August 2023 is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 from May 22 to June 4, the team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
On June 5, the Vietnam Women's Team began phase 2 of training in Germany with 3 friendly matches against Eintracht Frankfurt Club (June 10), Short Mainz Club (June 15) and the German Women's Team (June 24).
In phase 3, the Vietnam Women's Team will have a short trip to Poland and have a friendly match with the Poland U23 Team on June 21.

After this training trip, the Vietnam Women's Team will return home and continue training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before moving to New Zealand on July 5. In this final stage, coach Mai Duc Chung and his students will have more than 10 days of training and friendly matches before officially entering the journey to the 2023 Women's World Cup finals.
The Vietnamese women's team will compete in Group E matches in New Zealand. In the first match against the US, the Vietnamese women's team will play at 1:00 p.m. New Zealand time, or 8:00 a.m. Vietnam time. The next matches will be played at 2:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) against Portugal and the Netherlands, respectively.
