The trunk of the ancient star apple tree is so big that it takes 5 people to hug it. |
The two ancient fig trees in Quynh Hoa commune are about 350 years old; each trunk is about 2m in diameter and over 10m high. The trees are majestic and towering with rough bark, and the fig branches spread out evenly, shading an area of nearly 200m2. Notably, located 50m away from the two fig trees, there is an ancient well made of stone, with a stele inscribed in Chinese characters. What is special is that this well never runs out of water, even in years of severe drought.

The only ancient well still existing in Quynh Hoa commune has never run dry. |
Through many ups and downs of history, the two banyan trees and the ancient well have always been closely associated with the formation and development of Quynh Hoa commune. The recognition of the banyan tree as a national historical relic will contribute to enriching the local heritage, proving the cultural and historical value left by our ancestors, and at the same time contributing to raising the responsibility of the locality as well as the people in caring for and protecting the national heritage tree.
