Urging the completion of works commemorating the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday

On the afternoon of March 14, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a working session to discuss projects in the Kim Lien historical relic site (Nam Dan district).

Comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the meeting. Three projects were discussed and resolved during the working session, including the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, Chung Son Temple and Chung Mountain Cultural and Historical Eco-Tourism Area. All three projects are located in the Kim Lien Historical Relic Site (Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan).

"The 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday is just over 2 years away, there is not much time left. Therefore, we must urgently complete related work" - Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized.

Regarding the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong said that for a long time there have been too many unresolved problems. The assigned units have not worked to their full potential, causing the project to be delayed.

After hearing the situation report, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports to directly supervise weekly and monthly work to complete the project soon. The project management board must make a plan to complete the project before May 19, 2019, one year before the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 2020).

Meanwhile, for Chung Son Temple - the place to worship the parents of President Ho Chi Minh, the investor said that the project has basically completed all items. This project started construction in June 2012. The entire cost was sponsored by a business in Nghe An province in the form of "turnkey".

At today's meeting, the investor representative committed that Chung Son Temple will be put into use before May 19, 2019 - the same time as the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House.

In addition, the meeting also discussed the issue of the enterprise's written request to establish the Chung Mountain Cultural and Historical Eco-Tourism Area. Accordingly, the enterprise requested to invest, manage and exploit items at the Chung Mountain Relic Area, including Chung Son Temple.

Some opinions say that the establishment of an ecological - historical and cultural tourist area in Chung Mountain is necessary, in order to create new products for tourism development associated with relic conservation.

However, concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong said that because this area is a special national relic, the Prime Minister has the authority to decide whether or not to allow investment. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee will first prepare a report to send to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for later submission to the Government for consideration.
