(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 20, in Vinh city, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee held a summary of the patriotic emulation movement among Catholics.

The Catholic community of Nghe An Province currently has 50,840 households, nearly 270,000 people living in 12 dioceses, 94 parishes and 360 sub-dioceses, accounting for over 8% of the province's population.

With the attention of the Pastoral Council of parishes, parishes, and Catholic Solidarity Committees at all levels, the movement of living a good life and a good religion, building an advanced parish, and cultural life in residential areas in the Catholic community has been effectively implemented. In 2015, the number of households achieving the title of cultural family was 74.6%, an increase of 0.3% compared to 2014. The education of children is cared for and taken care of by parishes and parishes. The security, order and social safety situation in the Catholic community last year was basically stable. The people complied well with the Party's policies, the State's laws and local regulations. Charitable and humanitarian activities in parishes and congregations developed extensively in many forms. The total amount of money that Catholic communities in districts, cities and towns donated to support charitable and humanitarian work during the year reached 2.5 billion VND.

The executive committee of hamlet 6, Hung Trung (Hung Nguyen) discussed the plan to build a new rural area according to the planning diagram. The hamlet has 186 households, 873 people, of which 84 are Catholic households and 345 are Catholics.

Entering 2016, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee continued to innovate its methods of operation, coordinating with Party committees, authorities, dignitaries and officials to promote the patriotic emulation movement in the Catholic community to develop widely and deeply, contributing with the people of the province to complete the province's economic and social goals.
