(Baonghean.vn) - On October 30, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation inspected the evacuation of people at landslide-prone areas in Ky Son district.
Due to the influence ofcirculation of storm number 9,In Ky Son district, there is continuous rain, the water level of Nam Mo river and streams is rising, many places are at risk of landslides.

To proactively respond to flood situations,Ky Son districthas directed communes to send cadres to villages to direct and support people in coping with floods. Currently, Ky Son district has organized safe evacuation for 203 households with 1,084 people.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong visited and encouraged people at the evacuation site, and at the same time requested authorities at all levels to inspect areas at risk of landslides, have timely treatment plans, ensure people's lives and safety, and help people transport and evacuate their assets to safety.
On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Van Thong and the working delegation presented 36 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to households currently evacuated at Bao Nam Commune Kindergarten.

On behalf of the people, the Chief of Nam Tien 2 village thanked the provincial and district leaders for their attention to the people in remote areas during the rainy and flood days, and at the same time recommended that the province and district soon have a plan to relocate households living in areas at risk of landslides so that people can have a stable life in the long term.

(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of the low pressure trough (weakened from storm No. 9) combined with the strengthening cold air, from the early morning of October 29, there was heavy rain in Ky Son district, Nghe An. Facing the risk of landslides, Ky Son district continued to evacuate households in localities affected by landslides.

To avoid landslides, hundreds of households in Ky Son temporarily take shelter in tents.
