Comrade Vo Van Thuong: Content and methods of propaganda need to be close and attractive to the people.

That was emphasized by comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department at the National Online Reporters Conference on the morning of July 5.

At the conference, comrade Vo Van Thuong summarized the core contents, important achievements and solutions to effectively implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation".

In the context of the strong industrial revolution 4.0, never before have hostile forces used digital media and the Internet to focus on sabotaging the Party's leadership and ideological foundation in such a sophisticated manner as now.

Therefore, our Party always sets the goal of not only creatively applying and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought into the Vietnamese revolutionary practice, but also strengthening the organization of the struggle and refuting erroneous, hostile, and distorted views of Marxism-Leninism; proactively increasing positive information along with effectively preventing, handling, and eliminating bad and toxic information on the Internet and social networks.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that the extremely important task of those working in the Party's propaganda work today is not only to research and develop theories but also to fight against wrong viewpoints and ideologies that go against revolutionary moral values.

To do that, it is necessary to innovate the content and methods of propaganda about Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws in a way that is close to and attractive to the people.

For communication work, the press needs to become an effective tool to bring the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State into life, promoting industrialization and modernization for the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

The press not only truthfully reflects social issues but also must fight against the dark plots and tricks of hostile forces and against wrong tendencies on the ideological and cultural fronts.
