Migrants do not bring terrorism to Germany
(Baonghean.vn) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said during an election campaign in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state on August 17 that the influx of refugees does not bring terrorism to Germany and that Muslims are still recognized in Germany on the condition that the country's constitution is fully implemented.

More than 1 million people fled war and poverty in the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere to Germany in 2015. Tensions between Merkel’s supporters and opponents have been high since a series of attacks on civilians in Germany in July, including three carried out by migrants and two linked to the Islamic State group.
"The terrorist attacks carried out by radical Islam in Germany have nothing to do with refugees," Merkel said ahead of regional votes on September 4.
Ms Merkel also stressed that many people from Germany had gone to Syria and trained terrorists there. "This group of people has been causing headaches for Germany for many years," Ms Merkel said at an event in Neustrelitz, north of Berlin.
Her reputation has been severely damaged following the terrorist attacks, with a recent poll showing that 52% of Germans do not support the Chancellor's immigration policy.
